My heart aches right now, I did not hear of this until I saw it today. I have worked with Lola, sister Adele and their mother before them as I was a student. My Christmas card from last year reads "let's get together and do lunch" Lola how many times if you knew I was picking a day for us all to meet and something would come up. May you watch down on all of us and know your truly missed! I'm sorry we didn't do lunch but I will be calling Adele and "doing lunch, talking about you" May God be with you always my friend! I worked with Lola for many years at McKinley. She was a good friend and wonderful educator. Lola was an amazing person that truly had a gift for bringing out the best in her students. She will truly be missed by everyone that was blessed to know her. My love and prayers go out to her family.

Deepest sympathy to the whole family Lola was truly a Angel. I met her at McKinley she was such a sweet and kind and caring lady. I later moved jobs and found out I had a brain tumor and Lola reached out to me and sent me cards and always wrote some of the most beautiful notes to me and gave me hope on days I truly wasn’t sure😢😢. May she now Rest In Peace. 🙏🏼🙏🏼💔🙏🏼🙏🏼

My heart is serisouly broken...I found this and immediately cried...she was one of my 3 favorite teachers that I had at McKinley and about 2 years ago to the day I saw her at my uncles funeral and she remembered me like it was yesterday.. i was sick a lot during my 3rd grade year but she always worked with me and never gave up. I was bullied a lot and she always talked to me to make me feel better. She was a wonderful person and a wonderful teacher and will be greatly missed.
