Agnes Arseneault's Obituary
Agnes (Thomas) Arseneault, daughter of Eucher Thomas and Flavie Comeau, was
born April 17, 1929 in St Isidore, New Brunswick, Canada, died September 24,
2019 at Fraser Villa, Fraser, Michigan, USA, with family at her side. She
is preceded in death by her husband Bernard, son of Jean-Baptiste Arseneault
and Adeline Richard. They were married July 27, 1948. They would have been
married 71 years.
Agnes is survived by her children: Roland (Jane), Yvette Messing (Wayne),
Bertha, Joanne Piper (Steve), Roger (Sharron), Philip (Carol), Edward
(Anna), George, Therese Kozlowski; grandchildren: Dawne Pinelli, Lisa Edens
(Sam), Paul (Jill), Peter, Matthew, Michael (Sandy), Timothy (Sandy), Brian
(Morgan), Tanya, Toshia (Terry), Christopher, Derek (Shauna), Bradley (Kathryn),
Kaitlin, Colin; great-grandchildren: Andrew (Hannah), Ronald J, Dillon
(Meghan), Brandon, Tristan, Alex, Madison, Morgan, Christian, Lucy, Henry;
brothers: Alvida, Philippe; sister: Therese; predeceased brothers: Clement
and Alderic; also several surviving and predeceased members of her extended
family, half siblings and step siblings, who love her dearly.
She helped care for the children of many family members while in New
Brunswick. As a young women, she went to work at the hospital in Montreal,
along with many others from the area, before settling with her husband and
children in the Detroit area of Michigan, in 1952; eventually settling as a long time resident of
Center Line, Michigan.
Agnes was a devout Catholic, very dedicated to her family, raising nine children, while building a very successful Shaklee business from her home.
She spent much of her time caring for her grandchildren as a loving and devoted grandmother.
Kind and caring, she would go out of her way to help anyone. She was a woman of very strong
faith that never wavered, no matter what hardships she faced. She was well-loved by all and will always remain in
the hearts of all she touched. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke, Center Line, MI. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 2-8 PM with 6:30 PM rosary and Thursday, October 3, 9:30 until 10 AM Mass at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church (St Clement site) 25320 Van Dyke, in Center Line.
