Charles K. Deak's Obituary
Charles K., 87, of Warren passed away September 3, 2016 at his home. Born in Budapest, Hungary to the late Karoly Deak and Ida (Benes). Beloved husband of Jenny (Bocinski). Cherished father of Jim Deak and Tina (Dan) Kendzior. Proud and loving grandparent of Lauren Kendzior. Survived by his brother Gedeon Deak.
A chemist and metallurgist, Charles Deak ran Analytical Associates, a lab specializing in metal analyses, for thirty years; and then consulted, mostly as a forensic expert witness, for another seventeen years under the name C. K. Deak Technical Services. He was also known in the Detroit area for his magic performances. He was Merlin for over twenty years in the annual Wassail Feast held at the DIA. He has a cabinet full of awards for his art photography and was known by friends for his wine making, wood working and ability to fix anything.
Family will receive friends at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke, Center Line on Friday, Sept. 9,2016 from 9 AM - 10:30 AM. Procession to St Mary Our Lady Queen of Families Parish (St. Clement site), 25320 Van Dyke for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM., Burial at St Clement Cemetery. Memorials to Alzheimer's Association appreciated, Greater Michigan Chapter 25200 Telegraph Road, Suite 100 Southfield, MI 48033-7443..
