Cheryl Ann Hollingsworth's Obituary
Cheryl Hollingsworth, age 66, long time resident of Macomb County, died on July 20, 2025. Daughter of Delores Hollingsworth. The dedicated mother of Kristine Carter and Jeremy Carter, cherished Mimi of Elliahna, sister of Craig Hollingsworth, Larry Hollingsworth, Jason (Wendy) Hollingsworth, Lynn (Tom) Hollingsworth, and Jeff (Julie)Hollingsworth.
Cheryl was a vibrant and caring person. She overcame her own life struggles and she graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Alpha Family Counseling was blessed to have her as a therapist and as an Administrative Supervisor. Her skills as a substance abuse therapist were amazing. She brought dedication, warmth, and heart to her work. She supported many families with grace and honesty, always reminding them that recovery was possible—but that it required commitment. Cheryl will be greatly missed by all of us who have had the privilege to know her.
A visitation memorial will be held at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line, on what would have been Cheryl’s 67th birthday, Thursday, July 31st, from 2pm – 8pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Cheryl’s name to Salvation Army Harbor Light System in New Baltimore, MI.
