Dale Douglas Williams' Obituary
Dale Douglas Williams, also known as “Ned Rock” joined the big party in the heavens, on Wednesday January 26, 2022, he was in the hospital for 45 days and ultimately lost his life to COPD and a mass in his lungs, he also had some fractured vertebrae that caused him much pain. He was covid negative and kept his attitude positive. There were special people with him to hug and hold his hand and his family and a friend were with him on zoom when he had the bipap mask removed, we played some Bob Seger and all said prayers and the sun came upon him and seemed to wrap him in God’s warm embrace. Dale loved to help people; he cared about health; he loved live music; caring for animals; camping; fishing; canoeing; connecting with friends and family; mechanics and motorcycles; AA 12 steps and working (one day at a time) on his sobriety and Facebooking about his beliefs and passions. He also cared about clean water, healthy (organic) food; being prepared for the long term and air quality. He is a man who spoke up/posted in order to make the world a better place for all of us. Dale wanted to be cremated and have his ashes combined with his beloved wife, Deborah (White) Williams’ ashes and spread at Island Lake in MI and some ashes at a special, private location at a ranch in Colorado and some of their remains will be incorporated into handmade legacy lampwork glass, along with pictures of Debi’s art, that will be created by Sheila Morley. Please instead of donations or flowers, do something in your life to carry on Ned’s legacy, every chance you can get, think of him and smile. In his honor, please put your efforts towards doing
something to help you remember him. For example: put some efforts into your family long-term preparations; invest in a water or air filter; make a healthy meal; hug, love, spend some time or make up with a family member; save up and travel to visit a distant relative; show acceptance to those close to you; quit drinking, smoking/vaping; never drink and drive; provide something special for a pet; flash a fist bump, peace sign, thumbs up, or smile at those who need one; visit someone who is lonely or needs a friend to help or spare time to give a ride; say a prayer or send good vibes into the world. When speaking with Dale about his reason for living, he expressed that he wanted to live out his 12th step and help someone else reach their sobriety, so in his memory if this is something you can help others with or if you need help with, please reach out to someone who is still alive to help, Dale will work his magic, for you, from heaven. Think of him as you enjoy a Pepsi or get out there and dance as you watch some local live music. And by all means, please plan to join his family and friends at a peaceful, loving and family friendly event in Dale and Debi’s honor this summer at Island Lake in Brighton, MI, tentatively planned for June 25th. RudyFuneral.com will post his obituary next week. Please keep your eye out there and on his Facebook page for more details and updates about plans for a service to remember Dale and Debi and spread some of their ashes this summer. Now we all have special angels in heaven watching out for us and sending us peace, love and power.
