Daniel Lewis Barth's Obituary
Daniel Lewis Barth, 74, a longtime Sterling Heights resident, passed away on October 5, 2025, after a brief illness.
Dan was born in Saginaw on January 31, 1951, to Eugene Franklin and Evelyn Marie (Causley) Barth, and grew up in Detroit. He served his country with distinction as a rifleman in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor in combat as well as the Purple Heart. Dan enjoyed a 30-year civilian career as a logistician for U.S. Army TACOM, which took his family to Germany and Egypt.
Dan was married to his beloved wife Pauline for 47 years, and was immensely proud of his children: Alexander (Jennifer), Leslie (Thomas), Aaron, and Ian (Taru), as well as his granddaughter Reagan.
In retirement, Dan was an avid genealogist and motorcyclist who never missed a Tigers game. He will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery, and will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure to know him. Please visit www.rudyfuneral.com to share a memory or light a candle.
