Donald G. Wood age 72 of Lake City, Michigan died peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Born August 26,1938 in Paint Rock, Tennessee to Joseph E. and Pearl (Bodine) Wood. He was a Pipe Fitter for GM and was a member of Local 909. Don loved his motorcycle, snowmobiling, and spending time outdoors. Dear husband of Rose Marie, father of Debra (Richard) Caughill and John Wood. Stepfather of Michael (Cherie) Plettl, Darlene Alexander, Laura (Robert) Belt, Brenda Jenkins, David Pietras, daughter -in law Betty Wood, sisters Carol (Gerald) Plettl, and JoAnn Hickey. Many grandchildren and great grand children. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Pearl, sons Jerry and Joey Wood, brother Jim and son-in-law Steve Alexander. Visitation will be held on Saturday January 22, 2011 from 2 till 8 PM at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke (10 1/2 Mile) in Center Line, Michigan.
