Esther Ann Naysmith's Obituary
Esther A. Naysmith, age 94, died peacefully on Friday October 14,2016. Beloved wife of the late Peter Mackenzie Naysmith. She is survived by her sons; Jack Naysmith and wife Sylvia of Taylor, Michigan, Jeanne' Naysmith and wife Sandra of Troy, Michigan, Peter Naysmith of Amerhurstberg, Canada and daughter:
Ruth Farmer and James Dorroll of Sarasota, FL
. Esther was the proud grandmother of Kimberly Waldrop, Lynn (Vince) Hanna, Kenneth A (Susan) Naysmith, John Naysmith, Lisa (Billy) Reedy, Brocc Naysmith, Blaic (Heather) Naysmith, the late David Naysmith and great-grandmother of Corinne Lei, Kelsey & Bailey Hanna, Jacob Naysmith and Bryan Stowinsky. Dear sister (Little Mother) of
Carol Toperek,
Dick, Herb & David Cowper
and the late Ruth Cowper.
Esther graduated from Lincoln Park High School and worked at Ford supporting the war effort during WWII. After seeing her youngest child ready for school she pursued her calling and graduated from Nursing School in Ann Arbor. She retired from Wyandotte General Hospital, as an LPN in the maternity floor. Esther was an active member in the Church of Christ, Ladies Associates for Michigan Christian College (now Rochester College) and took on Leadership roles for Children's Bible Study programs. Esther volunteered at the
Birmingham Community Center, Library and B.A.S.C. Senior group- Birmingham/Bloomfield Hills.
A private memorial is planned for 10/29/2017.
