Fedelina Guardado's Obituary
Fedelina Guardado age 102, a longtime Warren resident, died at Ascension Oakland Hospital Monday, November 18, 2024. She was born in Algodones, New Mexico to Celso and Rebecca Giron. Dear wife of the late Manuel Guardado Jr. (1964). Dear mother of Nena (Terence) Morton, Manuel Guardado III, Marina Guardado and the late Miguel Patricio Guardado. Dear Grandmother of Joseph Matthew Johnson, Rebecca (Chris) Gibbons, Drew Michael Johnson, Felicia and Samantha Guardado and Michael El Cantar. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren; Josh Walton, Emily Johnson, Joshua Guardado and care giver/friend over 20 years, Janet Lewis. As a young widow, “Mama Faye” as she was affectionately called, began working as a pharmacy technician at Todt’s Family Pharmacy in Detroit. It was taken over by Rite Aid and “Mama Faye” was forced into retirement in her 90’s from where she had worked more than 50 years. A very hard worker, she took care of her family. She had been a longtime member of St Clement Church and was loved by all who knew her. Visitation on Sunday, November 24th from 12 noon to 3pm at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line. Instate at St Mary Our Lady Queen of Families Parish (St Clement site) on Monday, November 25th 9:30 AM until the funeral mass at 10am. Burial Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit.
