I just found out today that George had passed away. I had never met George, but our connection to people of Center Line High School had brought us together on Facebook. Having served our country in the military, he had my unwavering respect and gratitude. His faith and trust in Jesus is proof that this is not goodbye, for I will get to finally meet him one day in heaven. I am sorry for your loss. George was a great pal at Cenerline High who rode many times in my car. The fellows would chip in $1 for gas to get to football games, dances, and McDonalds. At one class reunion we reminisced what we had done in life, his military life, then changing ino religion. I admired his accomplishments.
I’ve known George since 1950 when my family moved to Standard St.. So sorry to hear of his passing and love and sympathy to Susie and his family. He was such a loving guy.
George and Suzie took me under their wing(s) when they discovered I had colon cancer. I will NEVER forget how gracious, giving, funny, and sweet George was. I'm honored to have known him in whatever small capacity. I will honor him and will continue to cherish Suzie for the rest of my days.
