Gerald George Helkowski II age 48 Died peacefully On Friday, March 16,2012 at Father Murray Nursing Home in Center Line. He was born November 10, 1963 in Detroit,MI. to Gerald Sr. and Bernadette (nee Tucci) Helkowski. Gerald was a baker and had been in the Landscaping business. He is survived by his parents Gerald Sr. and Bernadette, children Daniel and Alyssa Helkowski, grandchildren Daniel Helkowski Jr. and Alivia Newman. Brother of Timothy (Kim) Helkowski.Gerald grew up in Hamtramck, and had been a 11 year resident of Fr Murray where he was well known and loved by staff and patients. He would be seen around Center Line in his motorized wheelchair frequenting the stores nearby to supply residents who could not get out with snacks and pop. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Fr. Murray Nursing Home 8444 Engleman in Center Line on Wednesday March 21, 2012 at 2 PM. He will be missed.
