Strzyzewski, Gertrude “Trudy” (nee Madry) age 92, of Warren, MI. Loving wife of the late Marvin L. for 59 years, mother of 6 and grandmother of 7 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on November 3, 2022.
Trudy was born and raised in Detroit, MI by her parents Stanley and Mary Madry.
Beloved mother of the late Carol, James (Carol), Nancy, Marvin (Kathleen), Michael Strzyzewski and Maria (Mark) Shadbolt. Proud grandmother of 7 beautiful grandchildren; Mary (Ryan) Humphrey, David, Ian, Lauren, and Theresa Strzyzewski, Greyson, and Victoria Shadbolt. Trudy was a revered Busia who rarely missed an opportunity to support and celebrate her grandchildren. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families (St. Clement site) and an avid reader, curious traveler and adventure seeker who loved the outdoors. She will be deeply missed by many friends and family. Her kindness, keen intelligence and quick wit gave her children a strong role model to emulate. Among many things, she taught her children to take a clean towel, there IS a limit, she was not a mind reader and if her last child had been her first, she would have been her last (and only) child.
Visitation at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line on Wednesday, November 9, from 3-8 PM, and Thursday from 12-8 PM with a 6 PM Rosary. She will lie instate on Friday, November 11 at St Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Parish 25320 Van Dyke, in Center Line at 9:30 AM until 10 AM Funeral Mass. Burial Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
