James Owen McDonough
Lifelong resident of Detroit and Warren, Jim passed away peacefully at Regency of Shelby Township after a short illness, Aged 82
Friends and family, were able to visit Jim in the days preceding his death.
Even at the end, Jim was a trusted source of humor and good conversations.
Jim is survived by a brother Emmett (Mickey) McDonough of Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Mary McDonough (nee Salley) and his life-partner Ralph Kingsley.
Ralph was the apple of Jim’s eye for many years, they entertained, traveled and built a life with numerous close friends to last a lifetime.
Jim is also survived by several cousins as well as a group of great friends that will miss his humor, generosity and friendship.
There was not a cocktail lounge Jim disliked – he enjoyed entertaining with his stories while having whiskey and water. He easily made friends with anyone he met along the way and he will leave a legacy of great stories.
