Jean Ruth Hooper's Obituary
Jean Ruth Hooper, age 89, of Warren, died on February 23, 2023. Born on May 7, 1933, in Tellico Plains, Tennessee to the late Wesley and Ruby McNabb. Beloved wife of the late Arvil. Loving mother of Brenda (Mack) Raper, Wanda “Gayle” Price, Mary Katherine Rehm, Kaye (Tony) Chamberlain, and James Roger Hooper. Proud grandmother of a total of 10 grandchildren (predeceased by 3), 2 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Sister of Linda Morgan, Junior McNabb, and predeceased by Murl McNabb and Wanda Garrett. Jean has worked as a seamstress for Ford Motor Company at the Chesterfield Trim Plant and retired after over 34 years. Jean was a longtime member and supporter of Van Dyke Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, shopping, country and country gospel music, gardening, growing flowers, the outdoors, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line on Sunday, February 26th from 2pm to 8pm with a 6pm time of funeral service officiated by Pastor Byron Sorrell.
