Jerry “Nelson” Carter, age 67, a long time Warren resident died at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit on January 1,2024. He was born in Detroit to the late Van and Helen Carter. Loving Husband of Peggy “Louise” together for over 52 years. Dear father to Linda (Sean) Pearce, Jerry Paul Carter, and Kimmy (Jessie) Carter. Survived by his Brothers Joseph (Linda) Carter, Gary (Sandy) Carter, Rodger (Amy) Carter, Debra Carter, Johnny (Angie Carter and Vickie Heabert. Predeceased by his brother Wayne Carter. Adored Grandfather to Loki Pearce and also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Nelson was a maintenance mechanic. He loved cars. Fixing them, restoring them or just enjoying looking at or riding in them. He liked going up to Atlanta, MI. to be with his grandson Loki and just always enjoyed being with family. A good friend to all, he will be greatly missed. Visitation is at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke, Center Line, MI. on Friday, January 5,2024 from 1-8 PM.
