Joanne Marie Borkowicz's Obituary
Joanne Borkowicz, age 85, a longtime Warren resident, died peacefully with family at her side, on March 12, 2024. Loving wife of the late Raymond for almost 56 years. Dear mother of Brian (Sheila) Borkowicz, Catherine (Michael) Otto and Christine (Christopher) Nowak. Proud grandmother of Jason Miller, Amanda Kelmer, Jeremy (Clare) Otto, Blake Nowak, Lillian Nowak great-grandmother of Kateri and Raymond. Sister of Marie Ellen (late Jerome) Walkowski, Walter (Sharon) Jankowski, and Anne (Jeffrey) Knapik. Many nieces and nephews. Joanne had worked at St Marks Credit Union as a teller. A people person with a network of friends, she was always smiling. Back in the day, Joanne was a good seamstress and enjoyed her gardening, tending to her flowers, long walks and bike rides, and travelling up north sitting by the Mighty Mac, enjoying the water. A funeral mass will be held at St Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Parish (St Clement site) 25320 Van Dyke in Center Line on Friday, March 15th, a Memorial gathering at 9:30am for 10am Mass.
