Joseph Archie Briggs' Obituary
Joseph Briggs, age 77, of Warren, died on July 31, 2025. Son of the late Gilbert and Marcia Briggs. Beloved husband of Tamie for over 30 years. Loving father of Gary Briggs, Christopher (Amanda) Briggs, and Melissa Ritter. Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Gabrielle, Brady, Sophia and Liam. Brother of the late Marcia (late Steve) Okros, Alexis (late Ronnie) Borowski, and Cyndy (Mike) D’Angelo. Joe graduated from St. Clement High School in 1967. As a U.S. Marine, he served 2 terms in Vietnam and was a member of the Cpl. Richard Menge VFW Post and Knights of Columbus Father Kramer Council. Joe worked assembly for Chrysler Corporation retiring from the Sterling Stamping Plant. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, especially finished carpentry, doing kitchens, baths, and other cabinetry. Joe loved going places, camping with family and friends, auto racing especially NASCAR, hockey, and spending time with family. He will be missed by his extended family and a multitude of friends. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke, in Center Line, on Tuesday, August 5th from 4 to 8 PM and Wednesday from 12 Noon to 7 PM. Instate 9:30 AM, Thursday August 7, 2025 at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church, St. Clement site, 25320 Van Dyke for a 10am mass.
