Mary Ann Smith's Obituary
Smith, Mary Ann, age 77, peacefully passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. She was born December 10, 1945, in Hamtramck, MI, to Peter Adamczak and Helen Ogiela Adamczak. Mary Ann was a life-long resident of Hamtramck. She worked many years in the healthcare industry and retired from Ascension Health. Her favorite hobby was playing bingo. She was very loved and will be missed by many.
Mary Ann is survived by two daughters Diane Harvey (Mark) of Nichols Hills, OK, and Shannon Smith of Madison Heights, MI; and three grandchildren: William Harvey, Lauren Harvey and Zachary Harvey. She was a special aunt to Veronica “Ronnie” Gatchell (Jerry), Anne St. Jean, and Mike St. Jean; and great-aunt to TJ Gatchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings: Eleanor St. Jean, Peter Adamczak, and Florence Adamczak.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The family would like to express special thanks to Fresenius Kidney Care in Warren and Henry Ford - Macomb Hospital for their compassionate care.
