I will always remember Grandma as being so nice, loving and kind to everyone. She always had lots of good food (and numerous cousins!) at her house and she was always encouraging me to "eat, eat!".

My favorite memory of Grandma is when I told her I got engaged to Eric and she told me "it's about time you got married and settled down" (I was the ripe old age of 25 at the time). Then she turned to my older brother Albert and told him "there is no hurry for you to settle down. Just enjoy being single!". It was too funny.

I miss Grandma already but it is so nice to know she lived such a good, long life and was the matriarch to our whole family. God Bless Grandma.

I 1st met grandma Waldis on Christmas eve in I think 1975, at her home I was dating her granddaughter Cathy. I dont think she knew I was going to be there,but she got a card placing $ 5.00 so I would not be left out. A simple act of kindness I still remember today from one of the most kind people I have known ,she was a blessing for 103yrs

I remember Grandma always making me feel special and a part of the family despite the limited visits since we lived out of state as a kid. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed and important in her presence. I miss her!

I first met Grandma Waldis in 1974 when I started dating my future wife, Mary's grand-daughter Jan and from that first meeting she treated me like I was family already. She reminded me so much of my great-grandmother. Every time we came home on leave to visit, or when she came to visit us at our assignments she treated us with so much love and respect. I will miss her greatly but find comfort in the fact that she is at peace and with her family that has gone on before her. I know she is looking down on us and will look out for us. Grandma Waldis you are truly loved and missed, and thank you for your love.

I was named after Mary, my great grandma and will always treasure that. We found her birth certificate some time ago and her real original name was Mariana, which is also beautiful. I remember her kindness and despite the large number of great grand children in her life age she always knew my birthday and sent me a card with money. She was kind and caring and I'm thankful for her 103 years of life.

My memories of grandma are that she was always soft spoken, never raised her voice, I remember her house on Dorothy and all the family gatherings there when I was a girl. She always put out a spread on her dining room table. There was alot of talking and laughter as we spread out in the living room, dining room and kitchen. It was a small house but a house filled with love. She was respected by everyone. I remember how my dad cared for her and listened to her even when he wouldn't listen to anyone else. She was a saint. I love you grandma, and I am glad you are finally at peace.
