Peggy Jean Riedel's Obituary
Peggy Riedel age 92, a longtime Warren resident, died on December 2,2025. Born in Paducah, Kentucky, she met and married the love of her life, Richard, in Michigan. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard 72 years before his passing last year. Loving parents of 2 children; Kathleen (Marvin) Benedetti and Gary (Paula) Riedel. Peggy was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Being with family was very important. Always taking care of them, she enjoyed baking and cooking home cooked meals using the fresh vegetables grown from their backyard garden. She loved her garden along with the beautiful flowers grown there. An avid reader, books kept her mind sharp and helped pass the time. She also was a longtime member of St Clement Catholic Church in Center Line. Over the years Peggy worked several different jobs. She worked at Michigan Bell, Bob Thibedeau Ford, Cadillac products, babysitting, teaching and working with the preschoolers at Crothers elementary near her home. She was best and most accomplished just being “a mom”. She will be greatly missed. A memorial is planned in the spring.
