Dear Ciocia Gina,
You have been a big part of my childhood memories because you were a big part of my life. Being the oldest of my generation, you were one of the persons who spoiled me terribly.
You belong to the brave generation who had to hold their families together while their husbands and sons and brothers went off to save the world and you did a wonderful job of it. As a child, I watched you and my other aunts make fudge, cookies, etc. for all the packages you sent to Uncle Walter and your brothers. They all made it home.
You were my ciocia, my friend, and for a while, my neighbor.
To Rich and Tom and your families: God bless as you mourn this fine woman you called mother and grandmother.

My heartfelt sympathy to Rich, Tom and families. I'm sorry I could not come to the funeral. I have many fond memories of Ciocia Regina, we spent quite a bit of time with you when we were younger. Did a lot of fun things and probably ate a lot of good food.
May your memories now be only of all the good things. She and uncle Walter will be looking down on you, be good! I will keep her and all of you in my prayers.
