Rheda Allene Hathcock's Obituary
Rheda Allene Hathcock, age 94, a longtime Center Line resident, died peacefully at Church of Christ Home in Clinton Twp. Michigan. She was born in Lowes, Kentucky to the late Renaldo and Louise Allcock. Dear wife of the late Louie Ralph Hathcock (1998). Loving mother of Sherry Threlkeld and Rheda (Late Bill) Jacques. Grandmother of 6 grandchildren; Tina (Larry) Porzondek, Tammy (Ed) Kendall, Dan Hullihen, Jesse (Nicole) Hullihen, Stacy (Jon) Stacy, and Eric Louis Threlkeld. Great grandmother of 9 and great-great grandmother of 1. Rheda was predeceased by her twin brother James Otis Allcock. She is also survived by a cousin, Lorene Davenport. Rheda loved God and attended church services regularly throughout her life. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, gardening and was known for her southern cooking, especially her cornbread and coleslaw. She canned her own food, and her family enjoyed her green beans and frozen fresh corn all year long. In her younger years, Rheda did a lot of sewing, making many dresses and clothes for her children. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line on Friday, April 26th, from 5 PM till the 7 PM time of Funeral Service. Entombment at Oakland Hills Memorial Cemetery 43300 12 Mile Rd. Novi, Michigan 48377 on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1 PM.
