Richard Sherman Buskell's Obituary
Richard Sherman Buskell, age sixty-seven, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 17th, 2025. He was a longtime resident and pillar in the community of Warren, MI.
He was born in Lynch, Kentucky on August 5th, 1957. He was preceded in death by his father James Richard Buskell, mother Martha Ray Willson, sister Cheryl Kalinowski, and brothers Carl Buskell, Mickel Buskell, and Terry Buskell. He is survived by his precious wife April and his daughters Tonya (husband Paul) and Chrystal (husband Erik), brothers Ernie (wife Julie) and Anthony (wife Amy). He was a proud grandfather of Ce’ara, Kolbe, and Dakota. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Richard was a loyal friend to all who knew him and were privileged to call him friend. As a child, he loved gymnastics at Mound Park Elementary.
He served in the Army as an Engineer. He was kind and had an infectious laughter, was tough as nails, always working yet always willing to help his fellow neighbor.
He married the love of his life August 1st, 1981 and was a loving husband to April for forty-three years.
He was the owner of Richard's Fence and was in the fencing business for over forty-three years.
Richard was an avid classic TV watcher, loved to shoot pool, play euchre, and board games with family. He loved his animals, McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Mountain Dew.
If you knew Richard, you knew his love for the Lord. He and April were longtime members of Westview Baptist Church where Richard enjoyed singing in the choir and ushering in the church.
He was fully and deeply loved. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
