Robert Eugene Benz's Obituary
Robert E. Benz age 75, a longtime Warren resident died on January 9, 2025. Dear father of Michelle (Justin) Thomason and Jeff (Tami Sherman) Kasner. Cherished Grandfather of Jacob and Josh Kasner, Brianna and Brandon Thomason. Also survived by his sister Charlotte (Dave) Vanryckeghem, nephews Jason and John, nieces Kim and Kelly, sister-in-law Sandy Benz and former wife Janice Earls. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bruce Benz, Noah Suta and nephew Kurt. Bob worked for Fontana Brothers for over 20 years working in the warehouse. He enjoyed getting together for family barbeques, going to and watching baseball, particularly the Detroit Tigers, as well as basketball and football. Always ready for a game of cards, he loved playing a good game of poker or rummy. Going to the casino and particularly Las Vegas was his enjoyment to play his favorite game of craps. In between those, he always played the lotto with the hopes of hitting it big one day. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line on Friday, January 16,2026 from 1-8 pm with a Vigil Service at 7 PM.
