Robert Thornton, Sr., age 75, of Center Line, died suddenly on December 1, 2022. Predeceased by the love of his life Margaret “Marge” Thornton. Dear father of Kurt (Rebecca) Hannula, Krista (Jason) Bauman, and Robert Lee (Angela) Thornton, Jr. Cherished grandfather of Shane, Sean, Jasmine, Leah, Madison, and Hailey. An auto mechanic, Robert owned Standard Auto Repair in Center Line. An Army Veteran, he served in Vietnam and was a member of the Corporal Richard Menge VFW in Center Line. A dedicated family man, Robert loved spending time with his wife and family, enjoyed travelling and camping. A service with full Military honors will be held on Thursday, December 8th at 12:30pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Meet at the Cemetery and use the lane indicated to line up.
