Shelia Ann Rakowski's Obituary
Shelia Rakowski, age 61, longtime resident of Detroit, died suddenly on October 28, 2019. Beloved wife of Robert for 49 years. Loving mother of Angela (Scott) Bojda, Robert Rakowski Jr, and Yolanda (Kenneth) Todd. Dear grandmother of Xavier, Brianna, and Aiden. Sister of Chris (Wendy) Caldron, Tommy Bedwell, and Nevada (Karen) Bedwell. She was born on September 26,1958 in Collinwood, Tennessee to the late Edward and Imojean Thrasher. Shelia enjoyed making cakes from scratch and decorating them especially wedding cakes, she loved riding her Harley (she was a member of Great Lakes Chapter Southeast Michigan Motorcycle Club), photography, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her family. Family was very important to her. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke, in Center Line, on Thursday, October 31st and Friday, November 1st, from 1pm – 8pm with a 6 PM rosary.
