At her 100th birthday party I asked Aunt Sophie if she was enjoying herself. She pulled me closer and whispered in my ear “There sure are a lot of polaks here!” And giggled like a schoolgirl. She was funny and sweet and I loved her dearly. She will be missed.
I have such wonderful memories of Sophie. We lived across the street from each other when I was a child in Warren. She was such a sweet lady. I have thought of her many times over the years. She was great friends with my mom and dad as they grew older. They had many fun card games together. I moved to Mt Pleasant years ago. I had no idea how she was doing. 101 years old! That is wonderful. She had a long beautiful life. My sympathy to the family. Will be praying for Joyce, Gail and rest of family. May Sophie rest in peace.
