Thomas David Bernard age 63 , a longtime Roseville resident, died on August 10, 2013 after a long illness. Born in Detroit,MI on September 2,1949 to Joseph and Grace (Schulte) Bernard. Tom was the owner of Dun-Rite Construction, a United States Marine Corp Veteran having served in Vietnam and proud husband and father. He was an antique car collector who had a great voice and loved karaoke.
A very giving person,Tom always put others before his needs. Family was the most important thing in his life. "Uncle Tom" as he was affectionately known to many, had the biggest heart. Dear husband to Susan for 40 Years. Loving father of Thomas Joseph (Janet), Margene (James) Tyll, Jodie (John) Clement and David (Kristyn). Also 9 Grandchildren, James and Jacey Tyll, Amethest and Brooke Bernard, Samantha and Jacob Clement, Nauidea, Peyton and Alexis Bernard. Special uncle to John and Jesse Kramer, Christine Cuppetelli and many other nieces and nephews. Brother of Dennis (Donna) Bernard, Marlene (Bob) and Cindy (Mike)Panetta and Theresa (Ken )Carver. Brother-in law to Patricia Bernard
Predeceased by his parents, and brother James Bernard.
No Visitation is scheduled at the funeral home.
A Memorial is planned for Friday, August 16 at The Barrister House 24225 Harper, St. Clair Shores, from 11 am- 3 pm. Military Honors and flag presentation at 1 PM.
