Thomas Martin Slomka's Obituary
Slomka, Thomas, Center Line, MI - age 39 - passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2019. Beloved son of Bernice Helene Slomka and the late Ronald Robert Slomka. Loving brother of Patrick (Kim), Paula, Annette, Juliette (Mark), Christopher (April), and Peter. He is also survived by a nephew, two nieces, and many close relatives and friends. His favorite uncle, the late Renard ‘Bernie’ Slomka preceded him in death. Thomas was born in Detroit, MI on August 22, 1979 and spent most of his life in Hamtramck, MI graduating from Hamtramck High School. He attended Wayne State University receiving the Berry & Bertha Gordy Scholar Award and obtained an engineering degree. He was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity. Thomas was deeply loved and will be most remembered for his infectious smile, sensitive nature, creative spirit, and charismatic personality. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke, in Center Line, on Thursday, February 14th from 1pm to 8pm. 6:30pm Scripture. Instate Friday, February 15th, at Sweetest Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 4440 Russell Street in Detroit, 9:30am for 10am Mass. Burial at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
