Velma I. Gray ,age 92 of Warren, died at Ascension Macomb Hospital on December 30,2020. She was born in Northville, Michigan on September 2,1928 to the late Acel and Nellie Dayton. Wife of the late Jack. Dear mother of Jackie (Mike) Moore and the late Jerry Gray. Grandmother of Michael (Michelle) Moore and Matthew (Amanda ) Moore. Great-grandmother of Robert and Stephen. Velma is survived by her brother Bruce (Barb)
Dayton and was predeceased by her 3 brothers and their wives, Charles (Kay), Harold (Joann) and Robert (Jan) Dayton. She also leaves many nieces , nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews. She stayed active, always knitting for her friends and family. In years past, Velma was both a bowler and golfer. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, from 4-8 pm at Rudy Funeral home 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line. Burial at Oakland Hills Cemetery in Novi on Tuesday at 11 am. Please meet at the front gate there. Due to covid restrictions, we can only have 25 people at a time in the facility. Wear your mask and be respectful of others during your visit. In lieu of flowers, gifts to MCREST ( Macomb County rotating emergency shelter) in Velma's honor appreciated.
