Ann Marie Burdo de Alvarado, age 67, of Jackson, died on March 13, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital. She was born in Detroit to the late Vincent and Priscilla Burdo. Ann grew up in Center Line and attended St. Clement School. Beloved wife of Gustavo Alvarado for 25 years. Loving mother of Carlos Alvarado and Elena Alvarado. Dear sister of Karen (Gary) McLand, Richard (Patricia) Burdo, Patrick (Linda) Burdo, and predeceased by Marvin Burdo and Michelle (Mark) Jurek. Aunt of Eric McLand, Douglas (Lisa) McLand, Keith and Renee (Bridget) Jurek, Stephanie (Cody) Smith, Elizabeth Burdo, Julie (John) Linderman, Timothy Burdo, and predeceased by Steven Jurek. Ann earned 2 Master’s degrees and retired from Dearborn Public Schools. She was an avid reader, who loved to read the “Freep”. Ann loved to travel, visiting 4 different continents. She taught in Michigan and around the world for American International Schools. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke, in Center Line, on Sunday, March 26th from 1pm to 8 pm with a 6pm Scripture. Instate Monday, March 27th at 9:30am for 10am Mass at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church (formerly St. Clement) 25320 Van Dyke in Center Line. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
