Barbara Lynn Poirier's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Barbara Lynn Poirier on December 17th, 2024.
Barbara was born on September 6th,1953. The only daughter of the late Robert and Jeannie Poirier, Barbara grew up in Center Line, Michigan. Barbara graduated from St. Clement High School in 1971 where she went on to live life on her own terms.
Barbara was a sweet, compassionate person, honest with strong morals, and a sharp, witty sense of humor. Barbara was passionate about many social causes, and gave generously of her time, money and often her home for the benefit of others. A loyal and dedicated supporter of animal rights Barbara spent countless years volunteering for the Michigan Humane Society, often fostering, and adopting several animals who would later go on to torment her family members. She was brave and secure until the end, knowing she was going to her eternal home.
Barbara is survived and missed by her loving brother Robert (Debbie) Poirier; her nieces Melissa Poirier-Offill and Devin Weiland; her great nephew Trevor Offill and great niece Mallory Offill, and countless others whose life she has impacted.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a future date. Those wishing to express sympathy may consider making a donation to the Michigan Humane Society in Barbara’s name. Please visit www.rudyfuneral.com to share a memory or light a candle.
