When I first met Joe it was refreshing to meet a manager who went out of his way to help people and encourage them to do more. Joe believed in me and was a good mentor. He understood how to keep his people motivated. One of the things that I remembered about Joe was his famous back yard parties hosted at his house every year, my family really enjoyed them. It was nice listening to Joe’s fishing stories and boating adventures he did when he was a young man.
Joe will always be remembered.
To Carol, Terry, and Shelley you are in our prayers.

I will always have fond memories of our days fishing on Lake St. Clair, and stories shared after we returned, along with a cold beer. Thanks Joe.
Rest in peace.

There are too few people you meet who change your life. Joe was one of those people whom influenced and helped people for the better. Joe and I shared our birthdays together for 35 plus years. Meeting Joe in the work environment first has led both my wife Tammy and I to sharing many pleasurable times with both him and his wife Carol.
He will always be remembered by us for our remaining days and we will always toast on my birthday to Joe's memory and good times with a strawberry margarita.

From our retirement home in Florida which Joe helped find.
Joe began my career in the Defense Industry by hiring me as an engineering coop student from the University of Detroit Mercy. He led way in developing many vehicle diagnositcs, prognositics and software protocols and systems that are of critical importance today.
Joe was one of the last football players for the UDM Titans before the football program was ended and a former member of the Titan Sailing Club. He was a real Titan.
May Joe Steyaert be Resing-in-Peace.
