Katie is so dear to our hearts and now she's our angel in heaven. Every summer I looked forward to seeing her and the boys. We started doing family vacations with all the cousins together. We went camping in Silver Lake and did the "Nardi" family reunion up there. Another trip, we rented a cabin on Indian River and went to Mackinac Island. One year we visited Katie and her family in California. This past summer we went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Ben was having a baseball tournament there and one day Katie, I, and the kids got to hang out all day while Jen and Ben were doing baseball. We went swimming at my hotel pool, did a roller coaster that goes through the mountain, and did some shopping in Gatlinburg. Then Katie wanted to do some hiking and I was like "I'm not hiking a mountain!" Next thing I knew I'm huffing and puffing up a mountain side. The kids were worried about me and Katie said "just leave her alone, she'll get there." And I did get there and it was a beautiful waterfall at the top. I'm so grateful to Katie for giving me that beautiful memory even though I was kicking and screaming in the beginning. I got to enjoy her love of hiking with her and I'll never forget that precious moment together. Katie was a wonderful sister and loving aunt to Chelsea. I love her beyond words can describe. Chelsea and I will miss her greatly and our fun times with her in the summer but we will carry on her memory.
Love you Katie!
Love, Missy and Chelsea
