The Lapham Family, I hope this message finds it way to for your viewing. Maybe someone here on FB knows the Family.
In Center Line during the 1960s a sickly kid, I grew up in a violent alcoholic household. There was plenty of love, but too much domestic violence. The Generation Gap of WWII and Viet Nam found its footing in a fist swinging, alcohol fueled, holes in the wall, screaming violence in our home. Our house was one of the “Large Red” push pins on the map at the Police Headquarters.
Two very frightened and youngest members of this Family could always find relief, and a strong helping hand in the presence of authority with Officer Lapham, who always quickly removed us first from the mayhem. So often that he remembered both of us as the years went by, calling each other by first names, handshakes and hugs over the decades from someone who was there for us in the worst of times.
Much Respect to Lapham Family, Thank You Ron, you really made a difference..
