You taught me how to drive,you were brave as I only hit one tree,but you just laught,and we kept on going.You were the best sister-in-law.I stood by when you gave birth to Mark and then Michelle. You were a good Mother,we had alot of good times .I will miss you and as we always told each other,I love you Sis ! Fly high and will see you again.
My dear dear forever friend Shirley; we met in 1976 at Ferndale High; taking evening classes for Nursing Asst training. As single moms back then we took our kids to roller skating rinks for family fun and exercise! Shirley and I also partied together over the years. Shirley always spoke truthfully, and let you know what was on her mind; she was a “straight shooter”. We had a lot of good times together and also shared some difficult and life changing experiences. Alas dear Shirley I didn’t get to visit you since I moved back from FL. But you and your wonderful daughter kept me informed for the most part. I’ll never forget you. Be at peace and knowing you, you won’t rest that long; Happy Hunting Grounds, Creator willing, hopefully we’ll meet again. I love you.💗💗💗
Momma, I love and miss you so much. You are my hero and wind beneath my wings forever. You always put your kids and grandchildren first. I don't know yet how I'm going to navigate through life without you. I’ll never stop talking to or wishing you a good night as I walk past your room. Monty, Kia, Bella, and Dexter miss you too! I’ll miss the 3 AM “Michelle“ calls to help you get up for a few minutes or to take some meds. I miss your jokes and sense of humor, i miss taking care of you! It was so important to me to have you live here for the past eight months. We had a lot of good times and lots of visits with Justin❤️, Jared ❤️, Mallory ❤️, Mara ♥️. And honestly, we saw Dad more often than when you lived at home with him. Lol bottom line is there will never be a better mother than you. My first memory of Aunt Shirley was riding around with her and a few of her friends( she must have been late teens). She babysat my siblings and I (age 5-6) at first. Then my Uncle Lee came home from service and that's where the story really began, she after that was always around. I have truly loved her,seems like my whole life. Every visit or conversation we ever had was a meaningful one. She always made me feel, special and loved. I will miss her,and I will always remember her fondly.
Our beloved Nana,
I wont start here by sharing the sad memories, thats not what Nana would want. Nana lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work. As my brother and I were growing up, Nana taught us everything we know about outdoors and adventure. She taught us how to hook a worm, take off the fish, and when to pull once the bobber went underneath the water. She taught us how to set up a campfire, and how to enjoy it too. Nana did not want us to mourn for too long, but rather celebrate and cherish all the things she left behind including a family full of love. We will always love and miss you, Nana!
